The Barretto brouhaha has gained massive public interest, prompting the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to issue road safety reminders to those who keep tab on the sisters’ feud while on the road.
On Thursday, the government agency released a step-by-step guide on how to keep up with updates on Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine without comprising the people’s safety on road.
Number one on the list: Don’t read social media posts while behind the wheel.
“May anti-distracted driving tayo (We have an anti-distracted driving law)!” read the DOTr infographic posted on Facebook.
Note the post contains the title: “IMPORTANT ROAD SAFETY TIPS: how to be updated with the Barretto Family issue WHILE DRIVING,” accompanied with the hashtags “#BarrettoChika” and “#RoadSafety.”
DOTr suggested plenty of other ways to keep track with the issue.
For one, motorists with a passenger may ask their companion to read updates for them.
But for those who are really eager to look for updates on their own, the DOTr advised them to first pull over at a safe place.
The DOTr post has already received thousands of reactions on Facebook as of this writing.
