Social media can be frustrating for celebrities like Elisse Joson who admits getting affected by what she reads about her.
When it reaches that point, she goes on “internet detox.”
“Hindi naman po ako nagde-delete ng account pero I delete the app of my phone para lang ma-refresh ako at mawala ang stress,” she said at the presscon for “You Have Arrived,” a teen thriller on iWant.
Even though she doesn’t normally read the nasty comments about her, these find their way to her somehow and “when that happens, hindi mo rin maiiwasan na hindi pumasok sa utak mo.”
Still, she’s never had online basher who got a response from her.
Nevertheless, Elisse acknowldged the necessity of having social media account as “we can post and show everyone what we want you guys to see.”
“Pero at the end of the day ang totoong buhay pa rin is off of social media,” she reminded.
Elisse has been on a roll lately. Aside from “You Have Arrived” co-starring Barbie Imperial, Arielle Roces and Teejay Marquez, she is also on Dreamscape TV’s “Sandugo.”
“I’ve always said na experience is probably my weapon.
“I think the more that I do different types of show and porjects, mas napapakita ko ang aking versatility. I am just grateful na I am given this opportunity right now. Go lang nang go!”
Elisse has been kept busy which leaves her no time for a love life. She’s not affected by it, though.
Wala akong naiisip na ganoon,” said she, who was romantically linked with McCcoy de Leon of Hashtags in the past.
“Ang feeling ko I’m okay on my own right, now. ‘Yung mga ibinibigay sa akin na trabaho ngayon, parang sinasabi sa akin ni God na doon ka muna mag-focus sa ikakabuti ng craft mo, ng sarili mo with the help of your friends and family.”
