Distributor to open 16 outlets for Dongfeng

Pilipinas Autogroup, Inc. (PAI), which was appointed recently as the new official distributor of China’s Dongfeng commercial vehicles in the Philippines, said it will put up 16 dealerships across the country by 2021 as it vowed to bring in more transport and logistics vehicle models to serve the growing demand in this vehicle segment.

“The Philippines is in a state of rapid development. Developing nations need a lot of transport and logistics to move its economy forward and it is here where the Dongfeng vehicles can greatly contribute to business and the economy,” said PAI Chairman David Coyukiat at the opening of Dongfeng’s flagship dealership in Cainta, Rizal.

He said PAI will establish more Dongfeng dealerships in the coming months in order to serve vehicles and after sales needs of its customers.

PAI official said the company aims to establish at least 16 dealerships by 2021. All vehicles are imported from China.

The first Dongfeng flagship dealership by Agrani Motors, Inc. located along Ortigas Avenue extension in Cainta, Rizal, opened its doors for customers who are in need for light to heavy commercial vehicles.

PAI is making available a wide variety of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles shall be offered ranging from 4-wheeler, 6-wheeler, 10-wheeler cargo trucks, mini bus, tractor heads, dump trucks, and cement mixers.

The initial line-up of vehicles has a price range of P970,000 to a high of P4.27 million a unit.

Dongfeng was founded in 1969 and quickly grew to a top global brand today with a ranking of 67 out of the Fortune 500 list. The Chinese-owned motor vehicle firm has joint ventures with top European and Japanese automotive brands to ensure that its vehicles are built with extensive Research and Development and manufactured with state-of-the art processes.
