In his Twitter account, OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said they look forward to working with Uson who he said is a defender of overseas Filipino workers rights and welfare.

"I know Mocha to be a defender of OFW rights and welfare. So we look forward to working with her in furtherance of OFW rights, welfare, and interests," he said in his Twitter account @HansLeoCacdac.

"Congratulations, OWWA Deputy Administrator Esther Margaux Uson," added Cacdac.

Blas F. Ople Policy Center head Susan Ople wished Uson the best of luck.

"She is in a very good agency and I wish her the best of luck," she said.

"Mocha will have a good mentor in Administrator Cacdac who knows the ins and outs of overseas employment. Right now, OWWA is heavily understaffed and needs a lot of help in communicating its programs and services. I expect her to be on full learning mode and develop teamwork and camaraderie with the rest of the OWWA team," added Ople.

A recruitment consultant, however, was opposed to the appointment of Uson.

"Can Digong find a more useful position for her. It is obvious that I am not in favor since she might just clutter up the organization," Emmanuel Geslani said.

President Duterte appointed Uson as the new Deputy Administrator of OWWA, Monday.
