The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested four wanted fugitives from the People’s Republic of China (PROC) in Pasay and Taguig.
In a report submitted to Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, BI port operations chief Grifton Medina said three of the aliens were nabbed at their respective residences in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig while another was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
Medina identified the man arrested at the NAIA last Sept. 13 as 29-year-old Liang Yang, wanted for forgery in his country.
Yang was apprehended upon his arrival and was sent back hours later via a Xiamen Air flight to China where he is now undergoing criminal prosecution.
The Chinese embassy said Yang was issued an arrest warrant by the municipal public security bureau of Qinhuangdao City in Hebei province for forging company seals.
On the other hand, BI intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. identified those arrested in Taguig last Sept. 23 as Shi Chun Tan, Cai Rong Li, and Li Shao Bai.
“We were informed that these three alien criminals are wanted for kidnapping and obstruction of justice, hence they will be deported for being undesirable aliens,” Manahan said.
