Pacquiaos propose P2-B dev’t projects

ALABEL, SARANGANI – Senator Manny Pacquiao and his brother, Sarangani Rep. Roel Pacquiao are eyeing some P2-billion worth of development projects for this province that will be included in the 2020 national budget.

Lawyer Ryan Ramos, chief of staff of Congressman Pacquiao, said the development projects include the construction of school buildings, access roads to tourism sites, industrial centers, roads and bridges, barangay multi-purpose buildings, water system, peace and security projects including the construction of quarters for personnel of 1002nd Army Brigade at their headquarters in Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani.

In a recent meeting with the League of the Municipal Mayors of Sarangani, Ramos asked the seven town mayors of Sarangani to submit the lists of priority development projects in their respective municipalities which will be submitted to Senator Pacquiao for inclusion in next year’s national budget.

Ramos also presented the priority bills which were filed by Congressman Pacquiao that include HB 01811 which seeks the appointment of barangay officials as permanent government employees, and the conversions of Alabel town into a city and Barangay Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani into a municipality.
