Moreno suggested to abolish the said office as some of its personnel were allegedly extorting moneys from pedicab and tricycle drivers.

“Kaya naman pala yung iba ay di sumusunod, nililinggo-linggo ng mga tiga MTRO,” he said.

MTRO is a local government’s office that handles the operation of three-wheeler vehicles.

Moreno said that the order is part of his efforts to remove those who are corrupt from his office as “these people are making the poor people suffer.”

“Di ko papayagan na isa sa inyo, dudungisan ang ginagawa kong kabutihan,” he warned.

Moreno added that he would no longer create an office tasked at handling these vehicles.

“Papalitan ko lang para magnakaw ulit?” he asked.

During the Mayor’s Weekly Directional Meeting, Moreno also warned the heads of Manila government’s departments that if they cannot “discipline employees,” then he will “abolish” their office.

“I will not allow this opportunity to pass as if I am just the usual mayor,” he added.
