DAVAO CITY – A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted some parts of Mindanao at 1:39 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
In an earthquake bulletin released by PHIVOLCS, the epicenter was plotted at 49 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso town, Davao Oriental.
According to PHIVOLCS, intensity 3 was felt in Davao City; General Santos City and South Cotabato province; and Gingoog City in Northern Mindanao.
At 1:42 p.m. or some three minutes later, an aftershock was felt in Governor Generoso. No damage was reported as a result of the earthquake.
