Budding entrepreneurs in Leyte got to interact with the owners and officials of some 30 successful and i novative franchising brands that were exhibited at Robinsons North Tacloban for the two-day "Franchise Negosyo Para sa Tacloban."
The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) organized the event as part of its program to bring innovative and bankable business opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs in the different regions of the country.
The "Franchise Negosyo Para sa Tacloban" was undertaken by the PFA in partnership with DTI Region VIII, PCCI Tacloban-Leyte, PLDT Enterprise, BPI, SAP Philippines and Leyte-Samar Daily Express News in time for PCCI’s Visayas Area Business Conference.
Participating exhibitors include (Food) 7-Eleven, Barefruit Guyabano, Bbq Shack, Beanleaf, Bibingkinitan, Buko Twist, Hukad, JM Shawarma, Julie's Bakeshop, Mango Magic, Merry Mango, Miguelitos, Mister Donut, Mr. Potato, My Potato Treats, Papas Potato Chips, Potato Corner, Snack-A-ttack, Waffle Time, Wuffwich. (Retail and Services) Bayad Center, Canadian Tourism and Hospitality Institute, Diana Stalder, Francorp, Hued, Livingwater, Nitrofuel, Quicklean, U-Franchise and Xcess salon.
The expo was formally opened by Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez' son Raymund Romualdez and PFA chairman emeritus Samie Lim, acknowledged as the Father of Philippine franchising and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) president and PFA vice chair Ma. Alegria "Bing" Sibal Limjoco.
