Bartolome elected chairman of I-REMIT


Seasoned banker Arsenio M. Bartolome III, past president and chief executive of the Philippine National Bank and the first chairman and president of BCDA (Bases Conversion Development Authority) was recently elected as the new chairman of I-REMIT, Inc.

I-REMIT is the largest Filipino-owned non-bank remittance service provided in the Philippines. It is the remittance company which is listed at the Philippine Stock Exchange. And the first to utilize the Internet platform in order to provide a faster and affordable remittance services.

It has a growing network of more than 1,000 remittance outlets consisting of subsidiaries, branches and tie-ups in 23 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and the Middle East.

Bartolome is a past president of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Financial Executives of the Philippines (FINEX) and the Rotary Club of Manila, among others. He was a TOYM awardee in the field of Development Banking.
