Acosta warned that there is no cure for Dengvaxia should any of the recipients of the experimental Dengvaxia-vaccine gets afflicted with its dangerous side effects.

“Walang antidote ang side effect ng Dengvaxia (There is no antidote for the Dengvaxia side effects),” she told reporters.

These include severe allergy, acute muscular vital organ dysfunction after vaccination) and neurotropism, and severe dengue disease.

Because of this, she echoed the sentiments of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go about the purchase Dengvaxia in response to the dengue outbreak.

“Useless ang Dengvaxia. Magsasayang lang tayo ng pondo ng bayan diyan kung ibabalik yan Dengvaxia is useless. We would just be wasting government funds in using it again),” the PAO chief said.

The PAO is representing as legal counsel of various families of dead victims who received Dengvaxia.

The PAO, on behalf of the families, has filed a total of 44 complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ) against those responsible for the mass vaccination of Dengvaxia and eventual deaths of those who received shots.

The 44 complaints represent 44 of the total 142 victims the PAO has autopsied so far.

The PAO has vowed to file more complaints on behalf of the families of the other Dengvaxia victims.
