In line with the observance of the Year of the Youth, the Archdiocesan Youth Cross and the blood relic of Saint John Paul II will visit the parishes of the Vicariate of Santo Nino in Manila this month.
Welcome rites will be held at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Sto. Nino in Tondo (Tondo Church) on August 26 at 9 a.m. The Youth Cross and blood relic will be coming from the Vicariate of St. John the Baptist. Veneration and Taize Prayer will be observed until August 28 after which the cross and the sacred relic will be brought to the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage also in Tondo.
The Vicariate of Santo Nino consists of seven parishes, namely: the Archdiocesan Shrine of Sto. Nino in Tondo; Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish located on Delpan Street, Tondo; Saint John Bosco Parish on Magsaysay Street, Tondo; San Pablo Apostol Parish on Velasquez Street, Tondo; Minor Basilica of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz (Binondo Church); Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Personal Parish located beside Binondo Church; and Nuestra Señora de la Soledad Parish on Camba Street, Binondo.
The vicariate will also have its Vicariate Youth Day on August 31 at the San Pablo Apostol Parish gymnasium.
The pilgrim tour of the Archdiocesan Youth Cross and blood relic of St. John Paul II is an activity of the Archdiocesan Commission on Youth of the Archdiocese of Manila in observance of the Year of the Youth in preparation for the 400th year of Christianity in the country in 2021.
