The police identified the suspect as Reynaldo Santos, who allegedly struck 18 stores in Manila for his modus for almost six months.

On the other hand, the store is owned by Police Capt. Pidencio Saballo Jr. He also arrested the suspect.

According to the store manager, Santos ordered two big mango shakes and paid him P1,000. However, the culprit changed his mind and said he will not take the order.

After their conversation, the store manager returned the P1,000. The culprit insisted ‘he only received P100’ and the manager failed to notice the exchange of bills and gave Santos another P1, 000.

But when Santos leave the store, the customers told Dumlao that they noticed Santos exchanging the bills.

According to Suballo, owner of the store, the CCTV footage around the area has helped him to arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, Santos told Suballo that he learned the said modus in the Internet and television.

Suballo said the suspect was charged with estafa.
