Huawei has been granted a "temporary general license" that would allow them to purchase from American suppliers for another 90 days.
This is despite US President Donald Trump denied any rumors over the weekend about Huawei's 90-day extension, saying that they are not open to doing business with Huawei.
The reason for the extension, according to US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, was to allow US customers enough time to transition from Huawei devices.
The extension will allow Huawei to continue network operations in the US, many in the rural areas, and provide updates to existing Huawei smartphones.
Despite the 90-day extension, Huawei said that it doesn't change how the company was unjustly treated.
In addition, 46 Huawei affiliates were added to the "Entity List." It's a list composed of companies banned from doing business with US firms. Over 100 Huawei affiliates are now on that list, including India, Italy, Mexico, Australia, and China, among many others.
