A five-vehicle smashup caused heavy traffic on a Sunday along Welcome Rotonda in Quezon City, leaving one person injured.
Reports said a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a UV Express vehicle were traversing Welcome Rotonda en route to España Boulevard in Manila when the incident happened.
The UV Express driver claimed that both vehicles were speeding but it was the SUV driver who bumped into the UV Express.
The SUV driver, however, denied it and said the UV Express driver was who was driving fast.
This prompted the multivehicle smashup when the UV Express careened across the QC lane, which then crashed into a car. The car then crashed into a bus while another pick-up truck also reportedly hit the UV Express vehicle.
The passenger of the car suffered minor injuries.
