Yellow Lane Policy dry run worsens EDSA traffic

The Metro Manila Development Authority ordered the dry run of Yellow Lane Policy to ease the traffic, however, buses were seen hardly moving in EDSA on Wednesday.

“That’s the policy that we need to implement so we could discipline the drivers to stay on their lane.” said MMDA EDSA traffic chief Bong Nebrija.

Both city and provincial buses instructed to stay on the yellow lane only, causing buses to occupy several lanes, blocking several lanes for motorists as a result.

The policy instructs the bus drivers to only use two lanes to ease EDSA congestion.

The MMDA started the implementation of the policy on Monday despite the halt order issued by Quezon City court.
