Barangays in QC that will be affected by the water interruption are Bagbag, Bagong Silangan, Batasan Hills, Commonwealth, Greater Fairview, Gulod, Holy Spirit, Nagkaisang Nayon, North Fairview, Payatas, San Bartolome, Santa Lucia, Santa Monica, Sauyo and Talipapa.

While in Valenzuela City, Barangay Ugong (Hobart Village II / Doña Marciana) will be affected by the water interruption.

Maynilad explained that it will be replacing a 3-ft. diameter primary line butterfly valve on Regalado Avenue corner Commonwealth to further improve their services in the West Zone.

Because of the valve replacement, the barangays mentioned above will experience water interruption at the said time and days.

Although Maynilad did announce that the water interruption will be for several hours only, it still encouraged their customers to store water beforehand.

“We encourage our affected customers to store water at least three days before the interruption to prevent simultaneous heavy withdrawals of water from our pipelines, which can reduce water pressure and cause some customers to have no water earlier than schedule. Meanwhile, we have water tankers on standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed,” the post read.

Maynilad apologized for the inconvenience and appealed for patience and understanding.

It also advised its customers to let the water flow for a few seconds until it becomes clearer once water supply is restored.
