Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso asked his donors not to put his face or name on food trucks which are serving free hot meals.

During the flag raising ceremony at the Bonifacio Shrine on Monday, a food truck bearing the names and faces of Moreno and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna was seen serving free porridge.

“Nakisuyo na po ako sa nag-donate po ng food truck na huwag na lang ilagay ang mukha at pangalan ko,” Domagoso said in a tweet.

The truck also bore a logo showing “Kusina ni Isko,” with the seal of the City Government of Manila.

“Kusina ni Isko is not a public project. No public funds were used. These were donated by his friends and supporters, who wanted to put the Mayor’s name on the food truck,” the Manila Public Information Office said in a tweet.

“Nevertheless, we thank them for the food they provided during the flag ceremony,” it added.

Mayor Isko has ordered the removal of all politicians’ names, including his, from all primary and secondary schools in Manila to distance public education from traditional politicking.

Domagoso vowed that the “Kusina ni Isko” will no longer be called as such but will instead be called either “Kusina ng Maynila” or “Kusina para sa Batang Maynila.”
