Out of the five most outstanding police stations in the National Capital Region (NCR), four were awarded to QCPD led by Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) under Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas that bagged the first place.

This was followed by La Loma Police Station (PS-1) under Lt. Col. Camlon Nasdoman at second place; Masambong Police Station (PS-2) under Lt. Col. Rodrigo Soriano on the third, and Galas Police Station (PS-11) under Lt. Col. Carlito Mantala in fifth place.

Meanwhile, Manila Police District's Raxabago Police Station emerged as fourth placer.

The recognition was given to the station commanders during a ceremony at the NCR Police Office (NCRPO) Headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City over the week.

According to QCPD chief BGen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., the award was in recognition of the outstanding performance of the respective police stations in the "discharge of mandated functions in keeping peace and maintaining law and order in the community which contributed immensely to the accomplishment of the over-all mission and objective of NCRPO and the PNP in general."

"These awards will certainly uplift the confidence and will boost the morale of our officers and men as they are doing their job in consonance with the directives of PNP chief Oscar Albayalde and NCRPO director Guillermo Eleazar for the implementation of PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs and anti-criminality programs," Esquivel said.

"Rest assured that the QCPD will continue to reciprocate the recognition by extending the best service to the people of Quezon City," he added.
