The program is part of Robredo's Angat Buhay that provides training to poor farmers from Metro Naga and nearby towns in Camarines Sur, and link them to commercial establishments.

“The program is already in nine municipalities, of the 35 here in Camarines Sur, and hopefully this year there will be more,” she told reporters in Naga City.

But having said that, the Vice President made clear the primary goal of the program is not only to increase the number of its farmer beneficiaries, but also their income.

“Our main target is not the number of municipalities, but the increase in the income of beneficiaries,” she said

Omasenso sa Kabuhayan works by promoting the supply of the agricultural products of farmers to establishments.

At present, some farmers have started supplying calamansi to Bigg’s Diner, one of the leading food chains in Bicol.

Apart from profit, the farmers from Metro Naga and other parts of Camarines Sur can also increase their harvest and become agri-entrepreneurs through the program.
