Malacañang has declared more special non-working holidays in select areas in the country this month.
In Proclamation No. 750 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, a special non-working holiday is declared in San Carlos, Negros Occidental on July 1 to celebrate its Charter Anniversary.
Medialdea’s Proclamation No. 751 declared a special non-working holiday on June 24 in the province of Masbate to mark the celebration of the Kasadyaan sa Dagat 2019 (Bagat Dagat Festival).
The Palace, through Proclamation No. 752 also declared a special non-working holiday in Koronadal, South Cotabato on June 29 for the celebration of the Tree Growing Festival.
Proclamation No. 754 declared a special non-working holiday on June 24 in Tabaco, Albay for the celebration of Tabak Festival, a showcase of the city’s rich history, cultural diversity, and beautiful tourist attractions.
In his proclamations, Medialdea said that the holidays are declared to allow the people in the said areas to participate in the celebrations.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” he said.
