Former MVP winner Allan Caidic recalled the form that made him the deadliest shooter of his era, burying five triples in leading San Miguel Beer to a 76-61 drubbing of Alaska in the UNTV Cup PBA Legends Faceoff Sunday at the Pasig City Sports Center.

The 1994 MVP winner known as “The Triggerman” during his playing days in the PBA scored all of his 15 points from the trifecta region as the Beermen rolled to their second straight win in the event that will benefit the PBA Legends Foundation after the month-long tournament.

While Caidic sizzled from afar – he finished with 5-of-9 shooting from the 3-point zone – two-time MVP Danny Ildefonso dominated the paint to lead all scorers with 18 points aside from posting six rebounds, two assists and a steal.

MPBL Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes [KD] shook off the cobwebs of a long layoff and finished with 12 points while Willie Miller and Johnny Abarrientos were held to a combined 17 points as the Milkmen slipped into a 1-1 record.
