About one kilogram of suspected shabu was seized from two suspects in a buy-bust operation jointly conducted by authorities in Purok 7 Kapigis, Barangay Eastern Wao in Lanao del Sur early afternoon June 7, Friday.
According to Police Provincial Director Lt. Col. Madzgani Mukaram, elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), PDEA Region 12, Wao municipal police, the military’s 34th Infantry Battalion, PDEA Lanao del Sul, the provincial police office, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in BARMM conducted the drug sting.
Nabbed were Daranji Ombo Angatong, alias Salahudin; and Lendi Asiw Mangondacan.
Mangondacan tried to resist arrest and was wounded, and had to be brought to the Wao District Hospital for medical treatment.
Seized from them was a self-sealing large transparent plastic bag with shabu, weighing more or less one kilogram, with an estimated value of P6.8 million.
Also recovered were the buy-bust money, assorted IDs and other non-drug evidence, including a sedan.
Angatong and Mangondacan were brought to PDEA-BARMM in Cotabato City where they await the filing of charges for violation of RA 9165 against them.
