BACOLOD CITY – Policemen in this city nabbed 17 persons while in the act of participating in a pot session in Barangay 8 last Wednesday, May 29.

Police Maj. Sherlock Gabana, head of Police Station 7, said his men were conducting a buy-bust operation in an effort to nab street-level target Joey Yap, 39, when they chanced upon the other users.
Arrested were Bacolod residents - Raymond Sibornido, 32; J-R Emeterio, 29; TonTon Yap, 28, of Barangay 30; Randy Caduhada, 27, of Barangay 7; Jerry Catapang, 23, of Barangay Tangub; Emmanuel Danchoon, 33, of Barangay 35; Eduardo Denosta, 35, and Allan Cristales, 55, both residents of Barangay 17; Glenn Yap, 53, of Barangay 10; Fermin Cumawas, 40, of Barangay Sum-ag; Andrew Magbanua, 40, of Barangay 17; Roberto Carasaquit, 36, of Barangay 9; Ian Bandoquillo, 37, of Barangay 21; Rico Anieve, 40, of Bago City; and George Lisaca, 41, and Bernie Baldevia, 36, both residents of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Police operatives seized from them 21 sachets of suspected shabu worth P120,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P200-marked money.
“Some of the suspects denied the accusations against them but some admitted their offense,” Gabana said.
All suspects are now at Police Station 7 where they are awaiting the filing of drug charges against them.
