Despite their disagreements, Pasig City Mayor-elect Vico Sotto wished outgoing Mayor Robert “Bobby” Eusebio “inner peace” in accepting the “truth” following his defeat in the recently concluded elections.

Sotto made the comment after retweeting the post of radio DZRH where former Commission on Elections chairman Atty. Sixto Brilliantes revealed during the interview that they were the ones who filed the electoral protest of Eusebio against Sotto.

Brilliantes, the tweet said, also revealed that former Cong. Rolando Andaya Jr, brother of Eusebio’s wife and former Pasig City Mayor Maribel Andaya-Eusebio, has a complaint against reelectionist Camarines Sur Gov. Miguel Luis “Migz” Villafuerte.

Villafuerte defeated Andaya in the gubernatorial seat of Camarines Sur with only over 5,000 votes.

“Kulit ng mag-brother-in-law na 'to ah. Pero ok lang, at least lalong makikita ng lahat kung gaano ka-accurate ang resulta,” Sotto said.

“Wishing my opponent inner peace to accept the truth. I'm just here, ready to work with him for a smooth transition, if & when he's ready,” he added.

Eusebio, whose family ruled over Pasig City for 27 years, earlier threatened that they would lodge an election protest over the alleged manipulation of votes during the election.

The outgoing mayor lost to the 29-year-old first-term councilor with an overwhelming lead of over 80,000 votes.
