Top drug personality nabbed in QC

The top drug personality of Quezon City Police Station 6 (PS-6) was nabbed with his two cohorts after yielding P24,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust in Barangay Payatas on Tuesday midnight.

Police Lt. Col. Joel Villanueva, chief of Batasan Police Station, identified the drug suspects as Mark San Pedro, 29, Rogelio Pagaruan, 51, and Arthuro Macantan, 37, all residents of Barangay Payatas.

According to the police, San Pedro was listed as the number 1 target drug suspect of PS-6 after being involved in several illegal drug trade and proliferation of illegal drugs in their area.

A report from the PS-6 showed that a police officer posed as a buyer and transacted with the group at Pampanga Street, Area B in Barangay Payatas around 12:30 a.m. resulting in their arrest.

Authorities seized from the group 30 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P24,000, a weighing scale and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects are now under police custody and were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
