Metro League: Manila breaks away from San Juan

Manila broke loose in the fourth quarter to upend Solid San Juan, 94-89, in the Metro League Reinforced Conference at the Metro Asia Court in Pasig on Saturday night.

After San Juan inched to within two, 74-76, in the first 40 seconds of the final frame, Manila unleashed a 14-4 rally to open an 12-point cushion, 90-78, with 3:35 left.

San Juan tried to mount a comeback, cutting the lead down to four, 93-89, with 44 seconds remaining. However, that run fell short.

Francis Camacho fired 16 points with five rebounds and two assists for Manila, which moved up to 3-3.

Ray Miller dropped 25 markers with 18 boards, one dime, and one block for Solid San Juan, which fell to 2-5.
