Data from the PPCRV showed that as of 2 p.m., a total of 34,610 or 39.54 percent of the 87,540 election returns arrived at its command center at Pope Pius XII Catholic Center in Manila.

The election returns came from Cebu, Bacolod, Ilocos Norte, Nueva Ecija, Oriental Mindoro, Puerto Princesa, Taytay, and Laguna.

PPCRV volunteers pick up the fourth copy of the election returns and deliver it to the command center.

Then, 300 volunteers per day will manually encode the data on the election returns.

The encoded data will then be compared with the digitally transmitted data to ensure that it matches and that there are no discrepancies in the data.

PPCRV National Chairperson Myla Villanueva said that they were at a 99.98 percent match rate as of Friday afternoon.

Villanueva said they are prepared to run their operations for two to three weeks after the elections. #MatalinongBoto2019
