Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that AA-Kasosyo lost in the recent elections despite Mocha Uson being their first nominee because the former Palace official was not known to be associated with the partylist.

Panelo made the statement after he expressed disbelief that the partylist of Duterte’s most famous supporter is not seen to take a seat in the 18th Congress. Uson is the first nominee of AA-Kasosyo.

According to Panelo, Uson told him that the looming defeat is possibly due to the fact that the former dancer is now known to be the partylist’s first nominee.

It appears that she was unable to address it… She said she was not identified with AA-Kasosyo),” he said.

Panelo said Uson should have changed the name of the partylist so it would sound familiar to the voters.

I told her she should have had it amended to Kasosyo-Mocha or something),” he said.

The Palace official then said that Uson can still push for her advocacy even though she is not working for the government anymore.

But she said, like what I said, she will continue with her advocacy even if she;s not with the government anymore),” Panelo said.

She was even able to help the people more than other candidates),” he added.

Panelo earlier said that Uson may have lost because President Duterte did not endorse her partylist. The President, however, did endorse Uson in several occasion.
