NFL Draft top pick Kyler Murray signed with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, setting up three days of off-season training camp for the 21-year-old rookie quarterback.
Murray inked a four-year deal with the Cardinals worth $6.39 million a season with a signing bonus of $23.5 million and a team option for a fifth year in 2023 after Arizona picked him first overall in last month's annual allocation of top new talent.
"Everything I dreamed of," Murray said. "For me, being in Arizona and being a Cardinal, I can honestly say there is no place I'd rather be."
The Cardinals have gone three seasons without a winning campaign or NFL playoff berth, including a league-worst 3-13 last season to land the top pick they used to make college star Murray their franchise signal caller.
"It brings a smile to my face knowing I'll get the opportunity of a lifetime to quarterback this team," Murray said. "I just have to work toward that and earn that.
"I plan to work as hard as I can, lead this team to a lot of wins and, hopefully, a lot of rings."
Five other picks signed with the Cardinals, including tight end Caleb Wilson, who was taken with the final pick of the NFL Draft.
