Metro League U17: Late comeback steers Las Pinas past Taguig

Las Pinas came alive in the final 3:10 of the game to edge Taguig on the road, 60-55, in the Metro League U17 Division at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig City on Thursday.

Down 52-54, the Junior Defenders went on an 8-0 blast in two-minute span from the 3:10 mark of the fourth quarter to take the lead for good, 60-54, with 1:12 left.

They held the Junior Generals scoreless for nearly four minutes before Herbert Amaro finally got to score for the hosts with a free throw with only 11 seconds left and the outcome already settled.

Jericho Reyes made 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals for Las Pinas.

Ralph Cruz fired 16 points off the bench with five rebounds, one steal, and one block for Taguig.
