San Sebastian outlasted Metropac-San Beda in double overtime, 96-92, to clinch a quarterfinals berth in the PBA D-League at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Allyn Bulanadi and JM Calma made crucial baskets in the second five-minute period to help the Stags forge a tie for Foundation Group lead with the Centro Escolar University Scorpions at 6-1.

Bulanadi finished with 32 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals while Calma added 12 points and 11 rebounds in Valencia-San Sebastian’s comeback win.

Point guard RK Ilagan had 31 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals as he was mainly responsible for staging the Stags’ comeback in the fourth quarter.

The Stags fell behind 34-14 in the second period.

Clint Doliguez scored 21 points and Donald Tankoua added 20 points and 14 rebounds but Metropac-San Beda lost James Canlas to fouls and made crucial turnovers in the second overtime to fall in third place at 6-2.

Metropac, however, is assured of a quarters berth after Far Eastern University defeated Diliman College-Gerry’s Grill, 88-81 later in the day.

Rey Bienes scored 22 points and Wendell Comboy added 19 points as the Tamaraws improved to 5-3 while sending the Blue Dragons to fifth at 4-4.

The top four teams in the Foundation and Aspirants Groups after the eliminations advance to the crossover quarters.

Earlier, Go for Gold-St. Benilde forged a tie with Petron-Letran for fourth at 5-3 after routing AMA Online Education, 109-91, in the opener.

Fil-American Roosevelt Adams produced 21 points, 17 rebounds and five assists as the Scratchers won their fourth straight after a 1-3 start.
