ILIGAN CITY – Additional troops belonging to the Second Mechanized Brigade (2nd MB) were deployed Monday to the province of Lanao del Norte and Iligan City in a sent off ceremony at the brigade's headquarter based in Barangay Maria Cristina for the 2019 national and local midterm election come May 13.
The whole brigade was composed of three battalions and three companies, which will be more than enough to ensure the safety of our constituents here, said deputy brigade commander Colonel Alex T. Aduca.
Aduca reminded the troops to remain non-partisan and apolitical.
"Sana ay mabigyan ng karampatang respeto dahil ang iyong kasundaluhan ay non-partisan and apolitical kami. Gusto namin mapanatili ang aming status at sana ma-irespeto ito ng mga kandidato at mga constituents natin", he said.
Three towns in Lanao del Norte were identified and considered as areas of concern, namely: Pantar, Tagoloan and Salvador.
