A survey of the supposed leaders in the mayoral, vice mayoral and congressional race in Malabon City turned out to be fake, a renowned research firm said.

Ronald D. Holmes, Pulse Asia Research, Inc. president, confirmed that the survey was bogus in a statement issued Sunday, April 28.

“The said survey results, which are circulating in social media, are fake,” he said.

“We enjoin media and the general public to validate with us any results of surveys purportedly conducted by Pulse Asia Research, Inc.,” he added.

According to a graphic rendition, which is making the rounds on social media, the fake survey was conducted from March 20 to April 20 with 2,300 respondents.

The said survey showed incumbent Malabon City Mayor Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta III leading at 67 percent over his rival, incumbent Malabon City Vice Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, who supposedly registered a 33-percent preference rate.

For the vice mayoralty post, former councilor and administration bet Bernard “Ninong” Dela Cruz, was reportedly leading at 57 percent versus his rival, Maricar Torres, with 43 percent.

Administration candidate Veronica “Jaye” Lacson was also shown to be leading the congressional race with 53 percent against incumbent Malabon City Congressman Federico “Ricky” Sandoval, who had a 47-percent rating. #MatalinongBoto2019
