The national and local elections will be held on May 13 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Voters should first look for their names and precinct and sequence number in the displayed election day computerized voters list before approaching the electoral board (EB).

Once the official ballot is given by the EB, voters should inspect it to ensure that it is clean and free from markings.

Should there be any damage or marking found on the ballot, it must be returned to the EB and marked spoiled.

Voters should then accomplish their ballots with a special marking pen provided by the EB.

Voters must fully shade the oval beside the names of the candidates that they want to vote for.

After accomplishing the ballot, one should place it inside the ballot secrecy folder, proceed to the vote counting machine (VCM), and let the ballot slip into the slot provided in the VCM.

The VCM will then issue a voter's receipt, where one can check if their ballot was read correctly by the machine. The receipt should then be left in a box provided in the voting precinct.

According to the Comelec's data, more than 61 million Filipinos are expected to practice their right of suffrage in the national and local elections. #MatalinongBoto2019
