Coach Boyet Fernandez’s team also forced 26 turnovers which Metropac converted to 33 points to keep Trinity winless after seven matches.

Earlier, Diliman College-Gerry’s Grill put a dent in Wangs Basketball’s quarterfinal chances while enhancing its own bid.

Kevin Gandjeto had 33 points and 17 rebounds, Marco Balagtas produced 20 points and 11 rebounds and Joseph Brutas scored 19 points as the Blue Dragons improved to 2-3 to stay in the hunt for a top four finish in the Foundation Group.

The Blue Dragons led 53-34 at the half and never looked back to Wangs a chance to climb to fourth place.

Wangs dropped to 3-3 for a share of fifth place with Marinerong Pilipino, half-game behind fourth-running Chadao-Far Eastern University (4-3) and half-game ahead of Diliman.

Axel Inigo fired 33 points but it was not enough for Wangs to prevent Diliman College from picking up a crucial win.
