We’ve had our share of reviews of the Ezykam cloud cameras in the past. And so far, we’ve been genuinely impressed. Sure, it’s no cream-of-the-crop device with the most advanced features you can squeeze out of modern technology. But Ezykam devices offer quick and easy solutions, plus they’re quite affordable.

This time around we have the Ezykam HC10. It’s the smallest and slimmest Ezykam device in terms of form factor. Unlike others we’ve reviewed before, the HC10 has no controls that allows it to turn around.

The HC10 is static. You place it in front of anything you want to be monitored. It can be your aquarium, your home office desk, or the child’s crib, and you can do it anywhere as long as your phone has an internet connection.

From our tests there was a two-second delay, which isn’t much really. And it works perfectly well even with low bandwidth. Video quality is superb. It manages to capture all the essential details and you can tell a person’s identity with it. Even at long distances and at night vision mode, people are distinguishable. You should be happy to note that, zooming will not distort images.

The usual features are included in the HC10, which are talk and listen modes, where you will be able to hear the sounds around the camera, and you can even speak through your phone’s microphone to transmit voice to the HC10. There’s the night vision mode, which is really cool and works so well we’re stunned by it. According to the box, the night vision works up to 32 feet away. And of course you can record footage through your phone or with a microSD card.

Setup is a breeze. Download the Ezykam app for iOS or Android and access it while the camera is on. From there it’s a step-by-step process. You’ll be asked for a username and a password, both of which can be found underneath the HC10. Make sure you have a QR scanner app to make setup easier—otherwise, you’ll need to manually input the HC10’s serial number, which is a long string of numbers and letters.

There you have it. To sum it up, if you’re looking for an affordable but more than decent cloud camera, the Ezykam series is an excellent option. The HC10 is a reliable device that you have around your house and monitor what’s going on when you’re not around.
