ILOILO CITY— A fire on the eve of Easter Sunday razed a house and two businesses in this city.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP Iloilo City) reported that the incident occurred past 6 p.m. of Saturday in Cuartero Village, Jaro District.
Based on initial investigation, it started at the residence and then spread to the neighboring business establishments.
Partially damaged by the fire are two repair shops specializing in car air conditioning.
Personnel of BFP and volunteers from private fire brigade were able to quickly stop the fire and prevented it from spreading any further.
The damage incurred from the Saturday night blaze is estimated at P100,000. BFP investigators are still trying to determine the real cause of the incident.
