Eric Kelly vowed that a different version of him will come out of the Mall of Asia Arena locker room when he battles South Korean Kwon Won-Il at ONE: Roots of Honor on Friday night.
“May bagong Eric Kelly ngayon na lalaban nitong darating na Friday sa ONE Championship,” Kelly said.
Kelly decided to fly to Dubai for training for his fight against Kwon, and what he tweaked there is an interesting one.
He then bared, “May mga bisyo ako. Nakalimutan ko yung career ko
He even thinks this will be a make-or-break fight for him.
When asked how it is like to have his older brother going out of the country, Edward Kelly became teary-eyed.
“Nakikita ko kasi yung family nya. Kailangang nyang ipakita na as a father, andoon yung pag-iisip nya sa pamilya nya,” the younger Kelly said while admitting he missed his older brother a lot during training camp.
Edward, however, believes, “Alam kong babawi siya.”
Edward has another South Korean as an opponent on Friday night in Lee Sung-Jong, basically making it the Kelly Brothers versus South Korea.
