According to TMZ Sports, the reporter, Jennifer Ravalo of Vegas Sports Daily, has hired a lawyer, Gloria Allred, and considered taking legal action against the 37-year-old boxer.

“Before he will be licensed to fight in California again, boxer Kubrat Pulev must appear in front of the commission and demonstrate that he will conform to this principle of respect,” CSAC Deputy Director of Communications Veronica Harms said.

In a statement, Ravalo said she was there to cover the match as a professional member of the press and that kissing a woman on her lips and grabbing her is not acceptable.

“It made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated that Kubrat Pulev would treat me in such an unprofessional manner. I did not encourage or consent to Mr. Pulev grabbing my face, kissing me, or grabbing my backside,” Ravalo said, who contributes for Vegas Sports Daily under the name Jenny Sushe.

Ravalo interviewed Pulev after he knocked out Romania’s Bogdan Dinu in the seventh round in Costa Mesa, California last March 23.

A report by Balitang America revealed that Ravalo has Filipino roots.

Meanwhile last March 25, Vegas Sports Daily said they do not condone the violation of personal space of their contributors for any reason, citing that Sushe is a valued member of their contribution team.

“We want to make it clear that women should feel safe and comfortable to exercise the duties of their job, free of abuse, advances, harassment, etc in the workplace,” Vegas Sports Daily said in a statement.

In a tweet last March 25, Pulev has refused to apologize and said Jenny was his friend.

“[I] was so elated, I gave her a kiss. Later that night, she joined me and my other friends at my post-fight celebration. On the video, after our kiss, we both laughed about it and thanked each other. There really is nothing more to this,” the Bulgarian fighter tweeted.

Next CSAC hearing is scheduled for May 14 with Ravalo planning to attend. (with a report from Reuters)
