PALO, Leyte — The Eastern Visayas police distributed P24 million worth of communication and office equipment to its units and offices.
The Eastern Visayas police chief, Police Brig. Gen. Dionardo Carlos, said the equipment were distributed during the flag-raising ceremony last Monday.
The communication gear is made up of Harris Very High Frequency (VHF) lowband radios and Codan High Frequency (HF) Manpack radios.
Carlos said the radio sets “will definitely boost our operational capability and mandated functions.”
The Harris radio is a portable and interoperable tactical radio ideally used for during combat situations. It delivers a highly secure, clear, reliable voice and data communication.
The Manpack radio is used for long-range communications.
