MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan–Kids can now make the most out of their summer vacation as the Provincial Youth, Sports, and Public Employment Service Office start to accept applications for its Summer Sports Clinic 2019.
Children as young as four years old can enroll in swimming for toddlers while six-year-olds can join other sports events including aikido, badminton, basketball, chess, dancesport, football, gymnastics, taekwondo, tennis and volleyball.
The enrollment fee ranges from P1,500 to P2,500 depending on the sports, and enrollees whose parents provincial government employees get a 20-percent discount.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado encouraged parents to teach their children to be physically active and to engage in summer curricular activities.
“Hindi dapat matapos sa apat na sulok ng silid-aralan ang pagkatuto ng ating mga anak. Mahalagang malaman nila na bagaman mahalaga ang kanilang pag-aaral ay kailangan rin nilang maglaro at makisalamuha sa kanilang mga kapwa paslit. Ang mga ganitong gawain ay lubos na makatutulong upang mabalanse ang kanilang buhay,” Sy-Alvarado said.
Except for the badminton class that will be held at the Red Oil Badminton Court, the classes for all other sports will be held at the Bulacan Sports Complex.
Classes for aikido, chess, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, and swimming start on April 1, while the other sports events will begin on the following weeks.
Those interested can visit the PYSPESO at the Bulacan Sports Complex or contact (044) 305 3536 or 0997-337-1877.
