New OSH law orientation kicks off

BUTUAN CITY – Regional Director Chona M. Mantilla of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Friday said the Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) has already started the orientation on the New Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) law.

Based on Department Order No. 198 series of 2018 or the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11058 to the Regional and Provincial Personnel of DOLE Caraga region, all offices of the agency must comply.

She said the orientation aims to enhance the understanding of each DOLE personnel in the New Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) law and how they can support the implementation of the law.

“Our rank-in-file must know the duties of employees and employers, in compliance with the new OSH Law,” said the region’s top DOLE 13 official.
