Balanga Bishop Ruperto C. Santos called on graduates “to give, grow, and go in the name of the Lord. You have responsibilities to fulfill, dreams to accomplish, and tasks to complete. Always be ready to give and to give your best – to your parents, to your school, to the community where you belong,” Santos said.

“It is also important that you grow spiritually. Grow with the grace of God. Pray to God, obey His commandments, and work with the Church. Like Jesus, grow in holiness and be like Him,” the bishop said.

“Lastly, go always to God. Graduation is going up, going forward. Go to God to express your thanks for your life and all your blessings like your parents, your school, and all those who served and sacrificed to help you graduate,” Santos said.

For his part, San Jose Bishop Roberto Mallari, chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education (CBCP-ECY) called on graduating students to do what is right and good in their communities.

“Make the most of what you have achieved, what you have learned. Use it to do what is good and what is right in your communities and in society as a whole,” Mallari said.

Mallari also reminded graduates not to forget to express their gratitude to all those who sacrificed to help make their graduation possible, especially their parents. “Don’t forget to thank God for all the inspiration and perseverance,” the prelate said.
