The President, musing about his desire to rest after years of public service, said he was ready to fight it out with those involved in illegal drugs.

“Ako matanda na. Ngayong buwan na ito mag 74 na ako. P***** i** mo kasing pagod na ako sa inyo [I am old. This month, I will turn 74. Son of a b*tch, I am tired with you],” he said during the PDP-Laban campaign rally in Marikina City Wednesday night.

“Naghahanap lang ako ng lusot. Ke magbarilan tayo o kaya — p***** i** ‘wag ninyo akong… Naghahanap lang ako talaga ng lusot na para makapagpahinga na. Pagod na rin ako kaya do not f*** with me [I am just looking for a way out. We can have a shootout son of a b*tch. I am only looking for an excuse so I can rest. I am tired so do not f*ck with me],” he said.

Duterte will mark his 74th birthday on March 28.

In his speech, the President renewed his threat to “kill” those who are involved in the illegal drug trade regardless of their power and status.

Unfazed by criticisms from rights groups here and abroad for alleged abuses in the drug war, Duterte maintained that he would not allow drug traffickers and their protectors to destroy the nation.

“If you destroy my country and you force my children to eat drugs, t*** i** I will kill you,” he said.

“Ke ma police general ka, ke ma mayor ka, ke ma gobernador ka, congressman ka, yayariin kita sa totoo lang [Even if you’re a police general, mayor, governor, congressmen, I will really finish you off],” he added.

Duterte also said he could not care less if he would be sued in court by human rights groups. “Go ahead idemanda ninyo si Duterte [Go ahead file a case against Duterte],” he said.

The President directed policemen to work “overtime” to destroy the drug apparatus and keep the country’s streets free of criminals.

He also told police chiefs to ask their wives and children to walk around their area of responsibility as a gauge of peace and order.

“I want kayong mga chief of police you ask your wives and your daughter to walk around your area of responsibility. And if your wife or daughter comes home safe, undisturbed, unmolested, at walang nangyari, ‘yan ang gusto ko para sa lahat ng babae sa area mo,” he said.

“Kaya sinasabi ko sa mga kriminal, p***** i** ninyo umalis kayo sa daan, sa mga park, sa mga public places, kasi it belongs to the people and they have the right to use it any time na hindi sila mamolestiya, disturbed, robbed,” he added.
