Woman nabbed after stealing, selling helmet online

A woman, who allegedly stole a helmet and tried to sell it online, was arrested by police in an entrapment operation in Marikina City Saturday.

Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Ma. Genalyn Biador.

Initial investigation showed that at around 4 p.m. Friday, motorcycle courier Alan David Alfonso, 26, parked his motorcycle in front of a store along Gen. Ordoñez Street in Barangay Marikina Heights, Marikina City to pick up an item for delivery.

In an attempt to recover the item, Alfonso posted the incident on Marikina News Facebook page where he received a reply that a helmet, similar to his, was up for sale in a buy and sell Facebook page.

After finding out that the helmet was his, Alfonso contacted the seller, identified as Biador, and told her that he was interested on buying the item, police said.

At around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the police set up an entrapment operation where they nabbed Biador in front of a funeral parlor along Balubad Street in Barangay Nangka, Marikina City, and recovered from her possession the stolen helmet of Alfonso, police said.
