Colleges like Asia Pacific College and CIIT College of Arts and Technology offer a Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Multimedia Computing addressing studies in agile development, the latter partnering with Anino Games—PH’s first gaming firm. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde University and Far Eastern University (FEU) also offer programs in Game Development that run from three to four years.

Music Colony educates people who have the passion for DJing and music compositions. The short course on DJing enables the students to learn the art of mixing beats using a laptop, mixer, and the classic turntable. It offers five 10-hour turntable sessions, digital DJ sessions, and after mastering DJing, students can also try a more advanced course on music production.

The UPLB Bee Program is a multi-disciplinary, integrated research and development program established on Feb. 27, 1989. It aims to promote, formalize, and make more effective the integration and coordination of all bee-related research and extension activities in UPLB. Due to the tremendous growth of the program, it is now conducting beekeeping technology extension and research activities in the country.

An elective literature course focusing on the wonderful world of Harry Potter is offered by the Department of Literature at De La Salle University. Headed by Anne Frances Sangil, the course, which dabbles on J.K. Rowling’s literary works—books and film—is done once a year. From reading between the lines and parchment essays to quizzes, and house cup tournaments, the in-depth class on Harry Potter strengthens camaraderies between people of different houses and take every Filipino Potterheads one step closer to the halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The Association for Novice on Parapsychology (ANP) is a non-government organization composed of students and professionals who specialize in various fields of behavioral sciences and philosophies. They conduct training and seminars in advanced psychology and metaphysical science and advocates research and investigation. ANP aims to conduct scientific discovery of the psi phenomena especially in extra-sensory perception and other related branches. Pacific Center for Advanced Studies is a training school that specializes in courses on embalming and post-mortem. The Embalming Licensure Course is a two-month program comprised of both theoretical and practical sessions that prepare students for the Department of Health licensure exam for undertakers and embalmers in the Philippines. During this course, students are equipped in the fields of Anatomy-Physiology, Microbiology and Parasitology, Practice of Embalming, Ethics and Jurisprudence, Embalming I, Embalming II, and Practical Actual Exposure. In the near future, the school aims to design full-year courses for interested parties.

Rizal Technological University (RTU) formulated undergraduate and masters programs focusing on the study of astronomy. RTU was the first institution of higher learning in the Philippines to offer a graduate degree program in Astronomy, the Master of Science in Astronomy. The program was created to form future research astronomers and leaders in formal astronomy education in the country.

Our tangible, intangible, movable, and immovable heritage are valued not because they are old but because they are associated with phases of history, as well as people and events of great significance. This program, open to any undergraduate student at Ateneo, aims to train students who wish to tackle issues relating to cultural heritage and develop actions aimed at maintaining elements of cultural heritage such as streetscapes, architecture, culinary traditions, music, dance, and crafts among others. UST offers a master class since 2000, pioneering a curriculum in heritage conservation in the country.
