Caloocan City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan, along with Congressman Along Malapitan, led the groundbreaking ceremony and capsule laying of the blueprint for the new school building on Monday.

Thousands of students are expected to benefit in the four-story building with 16 classrooms. It has a total land area of 30-square meters.

Mayor Oca said the fund for the construction of the new school building will be donated by the Remington Industrial Sales Corporation headed by Ms. Rolina Tan. It is expected to be completed in July.

“Quality education is the most valuable gift that we can give for our youth. We are grateful that even private companies and organizations are with us in this advocacy,” he said.

Also present in the event were Secretary to the Mayor Betsie Luakian, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Cecille Carandang, other city department heads, Barangay 167 Chairman Tony Reyes and other barangay officials.
