“Ako’y nananawagan hindi lang sa mga taga-rito sa La Union kundi sa atin din bilang Filipino ang pagtitipid ng tubig lalo na ngayong panahon ng summer ay dapat isakatuparan lalo na’t hirap ang source,” said Presto during an interview with church-run Radyo Veritas.

The prelate also encouraged the public to plant trees as it is a way to protect the environment.

“Magtanim ng puno, alagaan natin ang kalikasan sapagkat in return aalagaan din tayo nito…,” the prelate said.

[Plant trees, let us take good care of our environment because in return, it will also take good care of us.]
