Police haul 1.5 kilos of shabu worth P10.2M

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police and military authorities and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided three suspected drug dens in Ipil, Sibugay province and confiscated assorted high caliber assault firearms and ammunition and about 1.5 kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P10.2 million.

Police Regional Office for Zamboanga peninsula (PRO-9) Director Police Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Luis D. Licup identified the arrested suspects as Ben Hazer Anduhol, Nicanel Maningo, and Benjamin Calon Hassan alias Solaiman Calon, all residents of Tenan in Ipil.

Licup said the raid was carried out simultaneously by combined government authorities in three suspected drug den sites at Barangay Tenan in Ipil, Sibugay province at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

He said police arrested Calon, Anduhol, and Maningo in their respective residences in Barangay Tenan in Ipil.

Licup said they have intensified their campaign against drugs dealers in the region as ordered by Chief PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde.

The arrested suspects and the recovered evidence were brought to the Police Provincial Office in Sibugay province. (Nonoy E. Lacson)
